Långholmen Konferens – conference in the middle of history
Imagine a conference in the middle of Stockholm but with the feeling of being far from the hustle and bustle of the city. On Långholmen, historical environments, lush surroundings and modern conference facilities meet – in one place.

In the Perfect Weekend Awards 2026, Långholmen Konferens won the category “Stockholm’s best conference hotel with overnight stay”. The competition is organized by the news site Dagens PS / Perfect weekend and is based on thousands of reviews from conference guests.

Captivating conference
The former Kronohäktet now houses pleasant conference rooms of various sizes, equipped with modern technology and with history ever present. Here you can gather the group for meetings and workshops, take a break with our popular coffee buffet or swap the conference table for an activity that gets colleagues to collaborate in a completely different way.

Swedish food tradition
When it's time for a meal, you'll be welcomed down to Långholmens Wärdshus, which is housed in the Alstavik ore farm from the 1670s. Excellent food based on Swedish food tradition is served here. Adjacent to Wärdshuset are also Baren Finkan and Wärdshusparken. For larger groups and corporate events, our banquet hall is ideal - for dinner, parties and other events.

Striped activities
Our own activities are based on the site's prison history and give the group the opportunity to socialize, compete and collaborate. For example, try the Prisoners on Långholmen, join a guided tour or discover history at our own prison museum.

Stay in a prison
After today's meetings, you don't need to go anywhere. The old prison cells have been transformed into modern and comfortable hotel rooms where history has become part of the experience. The former prison entrance is now the hotel's reception and is staffed 24/7.

Beautiful surroundings
Outside the door, Långholmen's park environment, promenade and beach on Lake Mälaren await. Why not start your conference day with a walk or a morning swim? Långholmen Hotell & Konferens is located inside the customs area, between Södermalm and Kungsholmen. Despite the quiet and green surroundings, it is quick to get to other parts of the city. Hornstull metro and buses are a 10-minute walk away.
