Garpenbergs Slott is located in southern Dalarna, about 20 kilometers from Hedemora and 16 kilometers from Stockholm. This ancient monument mixes with the character of the castle by the splendid social life of the 18th century France.

Garpenbergs Bruk was founded in the 16th century by Gustav Vasa who also founded a royal farm on the property. The castle was built in a French-inspired style by von Stockenström in 1801. To keep a low profile, he called the castle for manor. The main building and surrounding buildings have been operating as conference facilities and hotels for almost 20 years. It has been made some changes that highlight the unique interior and beautiful environment.

Accommodation in Garpenbergs Slott
The castle had today a total of about 80 beds. In the side buildings of the castle you will find nine rooms. The hotel is 300 meters from the castle and has 30 nice rooms, all with private shower and toilet, wi-fi and TV and a number of rooms adapted for wheelchair. In the foyer there is a TV and beautiful sofas to de-stress. There is even a small kitchen that our guests can dispose.

The conference rooms
The castle's conference rooms are located in the castle's most beautiful halls. This area is really perfect for conferences in a very inspiring environment. The most beautiful conference room, the old ballroom, Balsalen, offers space for 80 people in cinema and 30 in U-shape. The castle's top floor is now a newly renovated conference hall and houses five conference rooms. Herrummet is another nice conference room for the slightly smaller group. It accommodates up to 15 people, but it is equally suitable for groups with fewer participants. Here are many salons that suits perfect for the smaller groups.

Conference meals
The personnel at Garpenbergs Slott sets great focus on the meals, mostly in using fresh ingredients. The team in the kitchen composes a menu that is adapted to the needs and desires of each group. Take the meal in one of the castle's classic salons, in an exclusive and beautiful setting. In the old stone vault the story becomes clear and the dinner is taken in the shining of candle lights. After a good dinner, the coffee can be enjoyed with a Cognac in one of the lounges.

Conference activities at Garpenbergs Slott
Walk down to the sandy beach, or simply take a long forest walk in the untouched nature. Test the castle's old skittle alley, take a horse ride on Iceland horses, try clay pigeon shooting or sniper with a van hunting instructor. Garpenbergs Slott also offers a wide range of team-building tailored activities such as photo safaris, ice sculpture, gliding, canoeing etc.
